Tonya Lacy

Tonya L. Lacy was born in Detroit, Michigan, but grew up in both the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, and rural Prattville, Alabama, after which she joined the U.S. Army and was stationed overseas for 9 years. She currently resides in Denver, Colorado, with her husband and young adult boy/girl twins.

Tonya finds motivation and inspiration for her book series from situations that her twins experienced when they were younger. Tonya has used those situations as the foundation of the Talented Twins' Adventure books to showcase ways for young readers to stand behind various morals and values, all the while coping with a variety of peer and societal pressures.

When she's not reading (a mystery, comedy, or memoir), you might find Tonya eating candy and desserts, trying to dance or roller skate, coordinating an uncommon group activity (axe throwing anyone?), or spending time with her children, husband, and the family dogs, Ruby and Teddy.
