John Young

When John Emerson Young was eight-years old, he told his mother he wanted to be either a scientist or a clown. So he spent most of his career in advertising, and figures he got pretty close.

Born and raised beyond the suburbs in Indianapolis, Young graduated from Indiana University and earned an MFA in creative writing from Emerson College. He spent 20 years in Beverly, Mass. and now lives with his wife and two kids in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He is the author of the novels ERICA BROWN'S WAR (launching 4/22/27); WHEN THE COIN IS IN THE AIR; GETTING HUGE (finalist for the Chanticleer International Book Awards); as well as FIRE IN THE FIELD and Other Stories.
