Mike Lee is an executive with Point B, an integrated management consulting, digital services, venture investment, and real-estate development firm. He is the former founder and president of Independence Consulting and former president of North Highland Worldwide Consulting. With significant experience leading high-level consulting firms, this is the third business he has helped build.
As the former president of North Highland, a global consulting firm with more than 1,200 professionals in twenty-five cities around the world, Mike was a key driver of North Highland’s international expansion and Cordence Worldwide partnerships. He was directly responsible for North Highland’s United States, United Kingdom, and China operations and led the firm’s efforts to globally deliver deep-industry expertise across all markets and clients.
Mike has twenty-five plus years of experience in business transformation for Fortune 500 companies and Public Sector businesses. His specific areas of expertise include strategic planning, finance, and HR function development, process improvement, and enterprise resource planning systems. Mike has served the financial services, media, life sciences, retail, manufacturing, distribution, and utilities industries, managing strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, cost and efficiency programs, product development, and shared services engagements.
Mike joined North Highland in 2003 and played an instrumental role in the growth of the company from $40M in revenue to over $400M in 2015. Prior to being named president, he served as EVP, starting and running the firm’s second largest office in Charlotte, North Carolina, opening new U.S. offices, and assisting with international expansion.
Before joining North Highland, Mike was employed for thirteen years with Arthur Andersen Business Consulting where he was promoted to partner two weeks before the Enron scandal broke, which led to that firm’s historic collapse. Prior to that, Mike was a managing director at BearingPoint. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech with a major in accounting. Mike is an inactive CPA.
