Kim LaMontagne is a passionate mental health advocate who shares her experience of living in silence in the workplace with depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and alcohol use.
As a top-performing corporate professional, Kim feared that speaking out about her mental illness would tarnish her professional career. Because of this, she stayed silent. On July 16, 2009, Kim sought help from a nurse practitioner and credits him for saving her life. Many individuals suffer in silence in the workplace and hide behind a mask of shame and fear. Kim has been sober for 10 years now.
Her mission is to share her experience of suffering in silence and the tools she acquired along her journey of recovery to help normalize mental illness.
Kim is an International Speaker and Trainer who teaches organizational leaders how to build a culture of safety in the workplace. A culture of safety empowers employees to remove the mask of fear and shame and speak openly about mental health in the workplace.
