Hi! I’m Edymar, author of the Monster’s Adventures series, including The Monster Who Loved Throwing Stones, The Monster Who Wanted to Stay Healthy and The Monster Who Didn’t Know Halloween. I am a journalist, storyteller, and a proud mom.
My journey as a children’s author began when my five-year-old son told me about a monster “who loved throwing stones.” I started writing the story for him and his little sister — and that small family moment grew into a series that I am delighted to share with readers around the world.
I have always loved words and storytelling, filling notebooks with ideas, drafts, and half-finished tales. Today, those ideas continue to grow into new books, stories, and creative projects.
A bit more about me:
I was born in Venezuela, and love later brought me to Norway, where I now live with my husband and our children.
I spent several years in the United States, studying at Northfield Mount Hermon School in Massachusetts and at Denison University in Ohio, where I majored in Mass Communication and Cinema. I also lived for a time in Guadalajara, Mexico.
My native language is Spanish, and I also write in English and Norwegian — so you may encounter my books in multiple languages.
Thank you for being part of Monster’s adventures 💛
