Paul Lafferty

Down the Lane is my first novel, loosely based on my experiences working as a dj, bouncer, and bodyguard in the strip clubs of NiagaraFalls, Ontario, Canada, and a few other towns. For over 20 years I dealt with law enforcement, bikers, mobsters, wannabes, pissed off dancers and broken hearted boyfriends. Not to mention the staff and various owners, who were usually the biggest problems in my day. Add free flowing alcohol and any drug you could name: it all added fuel to the fire.

I now teach and write full-time. When I stop to think about those years, I always come back to the same thoughts:

1. How am I still alive?

2. What the hell was I thinking?
