George Wylie

George Wylie is a former office worker and former history instructor at a Michigan college. A graduate of the University of Michigan, he lives with his wife Rita in Southeastern Michigan, after living many years on a Northern lake. They have two grown sons and five grandchildren. Among his many interests, George counts poetry, gardening, photography, humor writing, bicycling, kayaking, grand parenting, politics, and travel as his favorites. With only three years of writing poetry, George’s pieces have appeared in three anthologies, Allpoetry.com, and several poetry contests. This is his first book. For the spoken word, George often visits the online World Poetry Open Mic. He hosts a Facebook poetry page called George Wylie Writes, is a co-leader of the Downriver Poets&Playrights group and is a member of the Poetry Societies of Michigan and Indiana. George also hosts a monthly open mic: Pizza&Poetry.
