Amanda J Gowin

Amanda J. Gowin was born and raised in Indiana. As a young child she loved to make up stories and would draw pictures to show the story before she knew how to read and write. As she grew up she dreamed of being a mother, author and hair stylist. She loved writing, reading and spending time with the people that mean the most in her life. She is very serious about her faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. That relationship colors how she sees the world, how she writes and how she interacts with everyone she meets. She became a hair stylist right out of high school, spending her senior year of high school going to beauty school half days. After eight years she went back to school and got a job in a chiropractor's office, where she met her husband. They have two sons and Amanda was content with having almost all her dreams come true. She began to feel a nudge and frustration that she was missing something. Her childhood dream of being a writer had been dismissed long ago, but never forgotten. She decided to see if she could do it, just for herself. She did. A few close family and friends were interested in reading it and urged her to pursue publishing it. To her surprise and overwhelming gratitude, she became a published author. Only through the goodness of God, she credits it all to Him.
