MM Gillis-Gambrell was born and raised in the greater-Houston area of Texas. They attended school in Fort Bend ISD, moved to Duluth, Minnesota after graduating high school. MM Gillis-Gambrell has pursued writing, community, specialty coffee, and film since 2015. They have lived in Houston and Austin, Texas, as well as the greater-Denver area. They have since returned to Duluth, Minnesota with their partner, Michael, where they spends their time writing, making coffee, and working in the film industry.
"III: A Collection of Poetry on Wholeness and Lack Thereof" is MM Gillis-Gambrell's first published work. They hopes to publish her next book, "The Way Back Home", a Hispanic-short story cycle filled with powerful, plangent biographical accounts of their mother's life.
