Thomas Simpson

Thomas Simpson is a Scottish indie horror author based in Glasgow. Originally a filmmaker, his work has been featured at numerous festivals, including the 2011 Glasgow Film Festival. In 2019, he transitioned to the page with his debut horror novella, One of Us—a bloody homage to the 80s slasher genre. He followed this with Blackened, inspired by the legend of Poveglia Island, and his short story collection Unknown Pleasures, a visceral love letter to his influences. Simpson continues to explore the grim recesses that shaped his love for the genre.
