Frank Bennett

Under commission I have written books for Microsoft and Google. I specialise in writing about cloud computing technologies for a business audience mindful that they are more interested in 'Why' than 'What and How'. I use my experience as a digital NED and former expert advisor to the EU's Horizon 2020 CloudWatch project, to write in a way that my reader audiences will find easy to relate to. I also put to practice what i write and have many digital assets all using the incredible services available in the cloud.

I've worked IT all my of my working life and exposed to every evolution of technology from mainframe computers to cloud computing. I have been fascinated by the contrast of 'looking forward in time and then looking back in time'. I remember promoting the 'paperless office' while working for Wang and that turned out be hype. That and other experiences motivated me to write and go deep in trying to understand what shapes our thinking when new things come along. What questions we should ask as we wrestle making decisions.

The theme of my books is 'Ask the Smart Questions'. I never had all the answers and never will - I do like questions!
