Gabrielle Harris is the author of The Inspired Yoga Teacher, The Language of Yin, and the upcoming Lessons in Meditation. Her work explores the intersection of poetry, philosophy, and practice for modern yoga teachers.
She is also a yoga teacher and writer whose work bridges ancient wisdom with contemporary life. A finalist in the 2019 Ashton Wylie Mind Body Spirit Awards, Gabrielle draws on over 20 years of teaching experience and more than 1,000 hours of study with internationally respected teachers in both yin and yang traditions.
Her writing has been featured in Yoga Journal, MindBodyGreen, and other publications.
The Language of Yin is an international bestseller and a contemplative guide to yin yoga. The Inspired Yoga Teacher is its dynamic companion — a practical, poetic manual for transformational teaching. Her third book, Lessons in Meditation, offers a thematic journey into stillness, self-inquiry, and inner connection.
Gabrielle lives by the water in Porirua, New Zealand, with her husband, two children, and her beloved dog Stella. When not writing or teaching, she’s often found tending her garden or walking the hills gathering inspiration.
