Diane R. Weber

After a career teaching writing and writing educational articles, Diane ventured into writing fiction. STUBBY'S WAR is her first novel. Another middle-grade, nonfiction book, DEVIL DUCK AND OTHER UNLIKELY HEROES, has just been published.

Diane is an active American Red Cross volunteer and is frequently deployed for disaster relief following hurricanes, wildfires, major flooding, and tornadoes. Otherwise, Diane divides her time between her grandkids in the Birmingham area and walking the beach in sunny Gulf Shores, Alabama.

A NOTE FOR TEACHERS: When I was teaching, I was always on the lookout for inexpensive materials to use in the classroom. Take a look at my titles, especially STUBBY'S WAR and SNEAKY TRICKS FOR A POWERFUL MEMORY. STUBBY'S WAR has a lot of primary sources in the back matter (newspaper clippings and World War I photographs). If you can use these in your classroom, contact me, and I'll let you know the next dates for the Kindle book special promotions, so students can download the books to their tablets. There are teaching resources on my author website. I am also happy to offer discounts for multiple copies for the classroom. In addition, I am available for classroom visits, either in person or virtually. Happy teaching!
