Born in England during WWII, Susan grew up in a world of great danger and uncertainty, but the strength of community helped her family survive. Those early years of sharing and caring for others are now reflected in the children's stories that she writes.
Susan came to USA in 1965 and became a citizen. She worked in accounting until almost retirement, then started writing children's books for ages 5 to 12.
Susan created the Droogledot family to help as reminders about the behaviors that we all value but sometimes forget in a busy technology driven world: sharing, caring for others, bravery and self esteem. The Droogledots also tackle issues such as the need to respect boundaries, jealousy and bullying with story lines that both teach and delight, all woven into stories mixed with a good serving of fantasy.
