Susan Lewallen

During the twenty years Susan Lewallen lived in eastern and southern Africa she worked in medicine in over a dozen countries while raising two sons. She developed a curiosity for what makes people and cultures alike and different. As a doctor, she also faced challenges with the health systems she worked in; her experiences motivated her to write the novel, Crossing Paths.

Crossing Paths, demonstrated that accurate, authentic fiction is a great vehicle for informing westerners about complex issues. Her second novel, Distorted Vision, is coming soon. It’s a suspense novel set in the world of global health.
