Derek Brown is Vice President for Graduate Studies at Barclay College, where he also serves as Professor of Pastoral Ministry and Chair of the Pastoral Ministry department. He earned a Ph.D. from Johnson University, where his research focused on the adoption of the pastoral system in American Quakerism. His continuing research focuses on Quaker ecclesiology and practical theology. When not researching Quakerism, he enjoys exploring the intersection of theology and culture, and the role of the church in society. Derek is married to his college sweetheart, Jessica, and has twin daughters - Sophia and Sarah.
