JOANNE NESBITT was widowed in 2012. Her husband retired from the US Navy after twenty years of service. She believed he was exposed to Agent Orange because of the unusual ailments he had over the years. It was only after her research proved she was right, that she won her case with the VA and for all the men on the ship with whom he served. It was because of the stories the sailors entrusted to her that she decided to write this book to help others.
Joanne spent seven years interviewing sailors who deployed to Vietnam. Although this book is fictional, the stories they shared helped make up The High Cost of Service. It is her hope that you will discover some answers to your questions from her book.
