I am the founder of Lisa’s Sanctuary (www.facebook.com/lisassanctuary) and the author of ‘Why I Stayed’, the true story of a Domestic Violence relationship. I wrote my story in response to the question I was most asked often “Why did you stay for so long?”

My vision is to educate some and give hope to others. To create awareness of the complexities of DV, to empower those still living in hell and those who have gotten out. To encourage everyone to get involved and help put an end to Domestic Violence.
