I am a fiction writer living in Orkney, which I find an inspiration for my work. I like writing about people, places and how they react together. I like to add a touch of humour to my stories, to counter the long winter nights.
I love organ music, cats and cabaret, not necessarily in that order.
My debut novel is 'The Organist' published by Yolk Publishing about an Edinburgh veterinary surgeon and organist set in 1912.
I have also written light-hearted Stone Age Whodunits with Kathleen Stevenson, published under the pseudonym of B K Bryce. 'Maeshowe Murders' is the first in the series, followed by 'Evil in Eynhallow'.
