Even as a young child Mike Cross wanted to be a scientist. He is now a professor at Snow College in Ephraim, UT where he teaches chemistry and forensic science. He believes that education should be fun and exciting and enjoys incorporating demonstrations and magic tricks into his teaching.
Besides teaching in the classroom, Mike is a popular public speaker. He regularly speaks at colleges, libraries, businesses, and schools on a variety of topics, including medical quackery, serendipity in science, and the chemistry of chocolate.
Mike holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Utah where he specialized in oxidative lesions in DNA and RNA.
