Lasse was born in Denmark in May 1990 and amputated in March 2005 due to a traffic accident. He has been a gymnast most of his life, both before and after his accident. Lasse was the first gymnast in the world to be a power tumbler with an above-knee prosthesis and went to a school for gymnasts after losing my leg, where he performed more than 50 shows.

In the years after his amputation, he quickly gained full recovery mentally and physically. He managed to learn how to walk, run, swim, ski, and perform gymnastics. He became an athlete almost at the same level as before his amputation within a year. Lasse managed to train with the Paralympic team but decided not to pursue this opportunity further, due to his dream of becoming a civil engineer.

Since his amputation, he has been a motivational speaker for more than 10,000 students, he has been talking to individuals or families facing amputation, has participated in training individuals with disabilities to get back on their feet. He has been part of lectures for university students becoming physiotherapists or prosthetists and has been participating in conferences for makers of prosthetics to walk around showcasing products.

He has managed to keep a positive and healthy lifestyle by focusing on his physical well-being, his health and his weight, as well as learned to accept and live his life to the fullest with his prosthesis by learning to master his mindset through meditation, positive psychology and purposeful goal setting.

He personally believes that every person with or without a disability will gain respect among others by respecting themselves and by having the courage to follow their own dreams and aspirations and not let other people's fears and worries stand in their way. He is living by these rules every day.
