Art Walaszek

Art Walaszek, M.D., is a board-certified geriatric psychiatrist and Professor of Psychiatry and Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School, completed psychiatry training at the University of Washington in Seattle, and completed a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

Dr. Walaszek is Vice Chair for Education and Faculty Development at the University of Wisconsin Department of Psychiatry. He is co-leader of the Outreach, Recruitment and Education core of the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, and Public Health Pillar Leader at the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Institute.

Dr. Walaszek has dedicated his career to caring for older adults, especially those with dementia and their family members.
