RON ROECKER

Author/Illustrator

Ron is an award-winning writer, artist and photographer who moonlights as an award-winning brand marketing and entertainment PR strategist for global brands, celebrities, startups, non-profits and independent artists. His love for writing (and evil boarding school-like attention to grammar) is thanks to his Mom, Joyce, and his love for every type of art form and creative expression was passed down from his Grandma “Evy” Mohney. Originally from the Midwest, Ron has lived in Los Angeles for the past 20 years.

“Ball” is the first book in the series “Six of One, Half a Dozen of the Other: a Rhyming Book Series with DOs and AHAs for the Five-Year-Old Kid to the Adult Who Once Was" inspired by idioms and adages. "Ball" was named to BookAuthority.org's "Best Children's Books of All Time" and "Best New Children's Books to Read in 2020" Lists. He published his second book, "Why Inch Got a Foot," just as the quarantine started. The book started connecting with kids, parents and teachers alike and soon Ron's Zoom calendar was packed with author Meet-and-Reads with students from coast-to-coast. Ron loves all kinds of adventure, and is so thrilled and grateful to be able to share Ball’s story with the world. Join the Bounce Your Bounce community on Facebook @bounceyourbounce.

Ron will be releasing his first Halloween story, "Knock, Knock" this summer, as well as a special book changing the world and mindfulness for children this fall in conjunction with the United Nation's YOUNGA conference.

A portion of proceeds from these books support the important work of Discovery Arts, Geek Club Books and other causes such as anti-bullying, music education and the environment.
