Fred Di Marco

Drafted into the Opioid epidemic war on 3/9/15, I was the poster child Dad of stigma & ignorance about the chronic brain disease of addiction. The knowledge & education that I gained after that date came at too high a price. The loss of my son Nicholas Jordan Di Marco to a fentanyl-laced heroin accidental overdose. I as well as many others now try to stem the tide of this horrific affliction by spreading knowledge of this disease & providing the avenues for education as well as treatment.

I have worked with the DEA, FBI & DOJ on numerous panels discussing this topic, also speaking at many local schools, rallies, groups & anyone willing to listen. Grieving parents have become special to me since I am also a member of that most undesired group.

The goal of my writings is to provide some insight into this dark world & enlighten others that are like I once was.

If we do not educate the ignorant, we will not get the benefit & support from the government, private sector & public to gather the necessary resources needed to successfully combat & end this scourge that is taking so many innocent lives daily.

I am Vilomah!
