Isabelle Etter

Isabelle Etter, M.Ed. has 20 years of experience with the Montessori pedagogy in Switzerland and in the USA. Alternately AMI Montessori educator and pedagogical director, Isabelle has been able to provide many children and adults with the benefit of her advice and guidance. Presently active as a Montessori guide in a Montessori school near Geneva, she also regularly gives conferences/workshops for parents, students and educators. She also officiates as an expert for the start of new schools.

She has also been applying the Montessori principles at home with her son from a very young age.

Isabelle loves to read to children in French, English and German. She particularly likes to see their amazement when she reads or tells stories connecting them to reality. She very much likes to walk with a group of children in nature and share their reflexion upon exploration.

In her workshops on the Montessori pedagogy, Isabelle encourages adults to bring their children on walks as much as possible and take time. Stepping into a forest, observing a pond, discovering a river...is very enriching and allows children to understand how things work.

Children are curious about the world they live in and nature offers so many wonders. By publishing her stories Isabelle wishes parents and educators to explore the world we live in with their children and experience beautiful moments.

Her children's book "Maya and Teo visit the forest" exists in French, English and in kamishibaï format.

Her book "How to find a true Montessori school", 2020, second edition, is available in French, English and Ebook.
