Anthony J. III Sanchez

Mr. Anthony J. Sanchez III was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1944. He spent his youth in the Saint Thomas, “Irish Channel“ housing project. After graduating from De La Salle High School, he served his country as a United States Marine for ten years as a Communications Intelligence Specialist. He worked all over the world, including in the United States, Europe, Africa, Asia and in Vietnam. After leaving active duty in the Marine Corps, Mr. Sanchez was a Credit Sales Manager for Goodyear Corporation before he joined Federal Service with the Department of the Navy. He graduated from Delgado College with an Associates of Arts Degree, and was awarded, "Who's Who in American Colleges 1977," and graduated from Our Lady of Holy Cross with a Bachelor of Science Degree, Cum Laude, and was awarded "Who's Who in American Universities 1980. Mr. Sanchez served as a Federal Intelligence Officer, Security Director, and Counter-intelligence Program Manager for 30 years. He retired from the Department of Energy after a total of 40 years of honorable Federal service, and became an author. His works include a Socratic dialog: “The Dying Man,” A book of Poetry: “Raindrops Filling An Ocean,” and Fiction: “Omega Mae A Creole of Color,“ "Omega Mae Goes to Hollywood," "The Tafoya Women," and two other novels, "A Girl Called Union Belle," and “River Road Blues,” which he co-wrote with his wife, Ms. Barbara Ann Welker-Sanchez who died April 26, 2021 after a courageous battle with Cancer. Mr. Sanchez is a recipient of: "Who is Who in American Authors."
