Phillip J. Milano

Phillip J. Milano was born in the Chicago suburb of Glen Ellyn, Ill., the youngest of five iconoclastic boys but sheltered from almost anyone different from his own cultural and economic background. Through learning and direct experience, he grew past his narrow worldview to become the founder of Y? The National Forum on People's Differences, the acclaimed cross-cultural dialogue project that encourages people to ask unflinching, politically incorrect questions about our differences.

Since its creation in 1998, Phillip's web site, YouDareToAsk.com (formerly YForum.com), has attracted millions of visitors and thousands of questions and answers. He has been featured on CBS, CNN, BET and the BBC, and in numerous newspapers, including The Washington Post, New York Times and USA Today.

He is the author of the Perigee book "I Can't Believe You Asked That!" and writer of the pioneering newspaper column/blog "Dare to Ask."

Phillip is an in-demand speaker who has challenged more than 20,000 college students in his heart-warming and humorous presentations to learn more about themselves by learning more about others. He is a 30-year journalism and media relations veteran who received his Master of Business Administration from Northern Illinois University and Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Southern Illinois University.
