My name is Alenka Antolin, and I love to write crime, mystery and thriller novels and novellas.
I was born in Kranj, Slovenia, in 1982. I settled down in Ljubljana, where I studied medicine, and after graduating and finishing my residency worked as a neurosurgeon.
I got married to a wonderful man named Sašo in 2018, and we temporarily moved to Tel Aviv, Israel due to his work.
I always enjoyed reading crime fiction and not even food would tear me apart from a good book. I used to enjoy Agatha Christie and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Though I still love their work, now I’m starting to be more interested in the darkness of the human soul and like to read psychological thrillers. I also enjoy thriller movies and crime documentaries, as well as psychiatry.
My first novella, Some Get Away, was inspired by my experience in Tel Aviv and a strange dream I once had about Jane Fonda (don’t judge me). My next book is already in the making, and the inspiration came from my work in the medical field.
