You know that feeling when you are scrolling through Amazon looking for a book that you would like to read but can't find it? Maybe looking for a book to extend your children's reading and inspire them to read more but you don't really want them reading about magic and teenage drama? I had that feeling so I wrote the book that I wanted to be able to buy...an old fashioned wilderness adventure with a message. Not a whack you over the head with environmentalism kind of message- we read to get away from that stuff. Not a lecture on morality...a message that nature heals and you have it within your power to make you life better... and I also think bears are pretty cool so they had to be in it.
