K. A. Trainer

K. A. Trainer was born Katie Trainer in Lebanon, PA in 1989.

She began as a magician in 2007 and took that practice to the open road in 2013, traveling in many different methods for several years while writing the book, 'What Are the Chances?'. It took her 7 years to compile those handwritten journals from her cross-country backpacking to complete the book and during that time, she returned to her hometown and became a very successful professional mural artist, completing over 50 murals all around central PA in her first 3 years. She was asked to receive a Townie Award for her works on Cherry Street Mural Corridor in West Reading for economic development and revitalization of a public space.

She plans to do much more traveling and intends to write many more books similar to 'What Are the Chances?' in hopes of inspiring people to fulfill their dreams. She is a graduate of HACC, Harrisburg Area Community College and a certified teaching artist through University of the Arts in Philadelphia and teaches mural development to children in elementary, middle and high schools in school districts mostly around central Pennsylvania. She has 6 murals in museums and plans to both further her artistic career and author career.
