Amanda Zarate

Amanda Zarate was born in Bellevue, Washington in 1981 to a black mother and white father who were Jehovah's Witnesses. After her parents divorced in 1990 she suffered years of sexual abuse at the hands of her father. In 2012 she felt the call to help other survivors and founded Fighting For Me, Inc., a non-profit organization that offered free professional counseling to those affected by sexual abuse nationwide up until January 1, 2022. She was a contributing author for Marked Ministry magazine and Focus On Her magazine. She published her life story in her debut book called Fighting For Me. Amanda is a follower of Jesus, a wife, and mother to 4 boys, and resides in the beach town of Dana Point, California.
