Working a job I hated, and having my roommate at the time move to Washington I felt trapped. Life had beaten me down and I needed a change. A phone call from my parents brought me, and my dog Lunette, back to Phoenix where I had grown up. The state wasn't new but it was a fresh start. I had my own place, a good paying job working with foster kids, and was working out regularly for the first time ever. Life was good. In that new lease on life I took the seed of an idea that had been sitting in my head for close to eight years, and finally put pen to paper. I had never done anything like this. My entire life I had been told by teachers I was a terrible writer and would never amount to anything. I chose to prove them all wrong. In my free time I took everything I had learned as a book worm growing up and sunk it into this new hobby. Three years later that book is now a reality.
