Aynampudi Subbarao (A.S.Rao) is an innovation consultant with a rich perspective gained from working in industry, government and academia. He was in industry during license raj period marketing products which are imitations, made with foreign collaboration and with CSIR technology. Worked for two decades in DSIR, Government of India, went thru the technology absorption phase with TAAS, new product development with PATSER and creativity with TePP.

As academic, regularly contributed articles and authored books -Management of Technology Change published in 1994 was the first book on MOT in India. New books:
