In 2016 Kregers graduated Kansas State University with a bachelors in Kinesiology. For five years in the U.S. while training under the world-renown high jump and combined events coach, Cliff Rovelto, Kregers used every opportunity to learn about the practical application of sustainable, performance-driven training in track and field. Currently Reinis trains in Prague with the best Czech decathletes.

The combination of the European and American schools of training has helped him look at the major problems in the sport critically and come up with solutions that have a place in sustainable, excellence-oriented training philosophy. His personal story of passion and perseverance has moved many discouraged athletes to continue their pursuits of excellence.
