Edward M. Tauber is the author of "Strategic Brand Extension." He is the father of brand extension having coined the term in 1979. He developed the first method for researching brand extension ideas. As an expert in new product development, he identified many well-known brand extensions for major corporate clients that generate over a billion dollars a year in sales – and have for over 25 years.
He received a B.A and M.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and a PhD in Business from Cornell. He worked as Research Director for Nestle' in Los Angeles and Senior Vice President for Saatchi Advertising in New York. He later became Professor and Chairman of the Marketing Department at USC.
He also has written books on divorce recovery. Having gone through divorce, he began teaching with renowned expert Jim Smoke. His book "Divorce - Healing and Moving On" has been used by over 24 thousand people. He also penned the book "Finding The Right One After Divorce."
