Al Hansen

For many years I struggled with working out consistently. The same loop repeated itself: A burst of new motivation and big goals, followed by failing to keep up with my own expectations when the stress of life caught up. Quitting, failing, frustration. A broken record.

In 2018, I changed how I thought about exercising and managed to break free from this loop. I realized I would never get long-term results if I always ended up quitting. Instead on focusing on short-term results, I started focusing on keeping my workout regimen going. I found a way to stay in the game: By adapting. By taking it easy. Be preparing for failure. By building safety nets. And by being honest with myself.

I used to hate exercising. It was a mere necessity. Now, I find it acceptable. Sometimes, at least to a certain extent, even enjoyable. I’m finally in control over a part of my life that troubled me for a long time. If my story sounds familiar to you, I recommend that you check out my book Keep Your Workout Regimen Alive, in which I describe how you can achieve the same.
