For years, Roberta J. Davis was plagued by debilitating anxiety brought on by the diagnosis of an inoperable brain aneurysm and other serious subsequent health complications. Spending the majority of her time waiting to be seen, stuck or scanned, Roberta formed relationships with other patients in similar health circumstances. She was particularly struck by those who were in far worse physical shape than her but were seemingly more relaxed, confident about their outcome, and living a joyful life, despite their plight. Curious and encouraged, she began writing about these authentically optimistic patients. Their stories were moving, inspiring, and came with the added benefit of quieting the effects of her monstrous anxiety. With a renewed sense of freedom, Roberta embarked on a journey to discover joy and found it.
In “A Joyful Life,” Author Roberta J. Davis takes a refreshing look at life and the joy to be had in living it. Her positive passages and peace of mind poetry serve as a reminder to live life to the fullest
