This is a first novel for both HELMUT and J.E.H. Roth. HELMUT is first-name only to protect his identity.

HELMUT and Roth met in February of 1995, two years after the first terrorist attack on the World Trade Center and just a month before McVeigh and Nichols bombed the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. At that time, The Oklahoma City bombing, killing 168 and injuring 680 was considered one of the deadliest acts of terrorism in the USA. (Keep in mind, this statistic would not include war and rioting in cities.)

By April of 1999, after The Columbine High School massacre, HELMUT and Roth decided it was time to put their heads and experiences together and create this work of fiction that depicts bullying, identity, and attracting and recruiting young boys into groups that value them only for their race as well as attracting and men and women for their grievances against the world.

You may ask what took this novel so long? Roth experienced career changes and 20 years of a mother with Alzheimer’s. Life gets in the way. And publishers are hesitant to cover difficult subject matter.

But, now the time has come.
