I was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas and although I resided in western Kansas for a short time, I've lived most my life as a resident of Wichita. I was born in 1984 and at the age of 16 had a brain bleed that debilitated me on the left side of my body. I've since had seven more brain bleeds from tumor-like masses called cavernous hemangiomas. I was born with four hemangiomas and have had the three "active" masses removed by means of brain surgeries. I was able to recover mobility from all my brain bleeds until the massive bleed I had in 2007. Although I'm stronger now than I was in 2007, my left arm and hand remain debilitated.

I've been through a lot of physical and emotional trauma in my life. My handicap doesn't define who I am, but it has certainly shaped me into the woman, writer and believer in Christ that I am today.

I love to write and share my testimony and to share insights I've learned about God and myself as I navigate through life in a broken body. My hope and prayer is that my story will help others through their pain and struggle.

I struggle daily trying to cope with my current physical condition, but I truly count myself blessed. The LORD has blessed me with two children, an adoring husband, a large and supportive family, wonderful church and wonderful friends.

I may be slow about doing so, but I will continue to write and share my journey as long as I reside on this earth.
