Before I began writing adventure stories for children, I like to think I had adventures of my own. Being a writer in the travel industry was perfect for someone like me. Someone with a love of words, a fear of settling down and a yen to see the world – especially the sunny bits with the swaying palm trees and sparkling turquoise waters. And while family commitments have now curtailed my travels for a while, the Ottillee Bottomly books mean I'm still having plenty of seaside adventures!
