Holly Korbey is an education and parenting journalist writing about teaching and learning for a national audience, and the author of Building Better Citizens: A New Civics Education for All. Her stories and essays have appeared in The New York Times, The Atlantic, Bright, Brain Child Magazine, Babble, KQED Mindshift, and Edutopia, where she's a regular contributor. Her work centers on what happens inside classrooms between teachers, students and parents, and works to bridge the gap between research and practice. She lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with her husband and three sons, and can usually be found on the bleachers at Little League practice, reading a book.
