Cathy Crowe

Cathy Crowe is a Canadian Street Nurse, filmmaker and social justice activist. She is a frequent guest commentator on subjects related to homelessness and health, shelter conditions, social housing and advocacy.

She has fostered numerous advocacy coalitions, most notably the Toronto Disaster Relief Committee (www.tdrc.net) that was responsible for declaring homelessness a national disaster in 1998.

Her first book was Dying for a Home. Homeless Activists Speak Out (2007).
