Deborah Ann Kessler

Debo's path followed roundabout curves. As a kid, she was a closet reader who voraciously read...literally, in her closet, because it was the only quiet place in her house.

In her first round of college, she started as a Sculpture major, then switched to Photojournalism at The University of North Texas. She worked as an Assistant Manager at a restaurant, and as a Staff Photographer for the school newspaper while attending classes full time. Since then, she's worked as a City Beat Reporter, an Administrative Assistant, and a Multimedia Artist.

Upon receiving her Teaching Certification at UT Dallas, Substitute Teaching soothed her urge to teach children. As a requirement of certification, she needed to attend continuing education training classes. One called “Teachers as Authors” called to her. In the three-day workshop, the instructor taught her how to publish her own books. Deborah took those two books that she wrote back in 2004 for classes, tweaked the stories, and added more pages as well as illustrations. Then, she published them both and here they are!

Don't think that's the end of this story though! Deborah's currently working on a new story about a wild cat. She only has a few illustrations to go, and has to format it, but then look out! It will be coming to Amazon soon and he's had quite the adventure! It's an unbelievably true story that will amaze you.
