Mildred Antenor

Mildred Antenor calls upon her life experiences of breaking down economic and racial barriers as a 1st generation Haitian-American woman to inspire others to confront life’s challenges.

Throughout her journalism career, Mildred has written, edited, and developed stories for publications, including: The New York Times, Black Enterprise Magazine, The Village Voice and many more. She has interviewed well over 800 people including former New Jersey governor, Christine Todd Whitman, and the late actor Raul Julia.

Mildred is a graduate of St. John’s University and has a master’s in liberal studies from Rutgers University. She holds memberships with New York Women in Communications and New York Women in Film and Television. She is a participant with New Jersey, Essex County’s Principal For A Day Program.

She also has an interesting historical background; Mildred has an ancestral cousin, Joseph Laroche, who was lost at sea on The Titanic.
