Brent J. Burrows II was born & raised in Nassau, Bahamas. A lover of the ocean, Brent grew up on and around the sea. As a child he spent a lot of time sailing, fishing, and simply messing around on boats. Brent's parents (Rhonda & Brent Sr.) were adamant in ensuring their children (Brent and Rebekah) were able to develop an appreciation and respect for the ocean. An avid sailor throughout high school, Brent represented the Bahamas numerous times on the international level.
After graduating from St. Andrew's International School, he went on to study Business Administration at the College of Charleston. While in Charleston, Brent raced for the school's offshore sailing team- helping the Cougars win a Collegiate Keelboat National Championship in 2014. During his time in University, he was fortunate enough to spend time traveling with Semester at Sea where he visited & studied in over 15 countries across Europe, Africa, and South America. After completing his studies, Brent spent 2 years traveling the Caribbean whilst crewing on charter yachts. He gained the sea-time and experience necessary to obtain his 200gt Yacht Masters License, while satisfying his wanderlust along the way.
Upon returning home to the Bahamas, Brent signed on to work for the Bahamas National Trust in the capacity of Park Warden at the Exuma Cays Land & Sea Park. He spent more than a year in this role protecting the Bahamas' natural resources while working towards achieving goals in conservation, education, and enforcement at the world's first protected area of its kind.
Brent currently resides on Paradise Island, where he is back home and working as a visionary in the local eCommerce industry. He loves to travel & explore, and remains passionate about the ocean, conservation, & the future well being of the Bahamas.
