About the Family
Chakra Sreekanth (born in 2011) and his parents Sashi Sreekanth (mother) and Sreekanth Kumar (father) are a family of story-tellers who write, edit and publish children's stories. Their stories originate from elementary school topics that Chakra learns at home. With the intent of making learning fun, Chakra and Sreekanth write humorous and relatable stories to any elementary school child. Sashi provides valuable insights and edits these stories ensuring the content is relatable to both children and parents alike. This American family of Indian origin has published three books so far in their 'What Matters To You?' series.
When Chakra was six years old, he learned about diversity and the power of inclusion via a story involving geometrical shapes. This story became their debut book 'All Shapes Matter,' released in 2018. When Chakra was eight years old, he learned the basics of English Grammar involving the eight different parts of speech via a story involving five vowels. This story became their second book 'All Vowels Matter,' released in 2019. Around the same time, Chakra was learning about the different emotions and feelings via a story involving five home-grown characters. This story became their third book 'All Emotions Matter,' released in 2021.
Chakra, Sashi, and Sreekanth live in New Jersey, USA, and have two pets – a dog and a turtle. They are thankful the dog played its part by not eating the manuscript.
