Glynn Davies was born in Southampton in June 1966, just before England won the World Cup. As a footie fan, he has travelled the world following England and dreaming of when a victory in a Final may happen once again.
He started to write about his real life fun adventures following the beautiful game back in 2017, showing a fun and insightful view of what it is really like to be a fan (capturing the pride and passion; fun and adventure; travel cock-ups and mishaps; bad luck and foolishness; hopes, fears, joys and tears that happen along the way). He first published in 2019 on the anniversary of that wonderful 4-2 England World Cup Final victory.
For the Euro 2012 tournament in Poland and Ukraine, Glynn wrote a blog for BBC Ukraine (with over 500,000 followers) and attended matches dressed as Superman. During the tournament he appeared on the Radio 5 Live breakfast phone in with Graham Taylor and Nicky Campbell.
In 2014, Glynn wrote a fan's view of travel to the World Cup for BBC Brazil.
Glynn's first book "About The Game - The LOT" was initially written on iPhone during his daily commute in to London (all 100,000+ words of it).
A family man with 2 daughters, Glynn has worked in the Promotions, Toys, Publishing and the Entertainment industry for over 20 years for companies like LEGO and Warner Bros. He was responsible for introducing the first Monopoly promotion to McDonald’s Restaurants UK back in the 1990’s.
