Joe Brewer-Lennon

Joe Brewer-Lennon is a Scottish author who wrote his first book, The Diary of Andy Angus: The Lost Year, with the creative liberty of believing that no one would read it. However, people did, and liked it … even his mother. He has spent the past six years writing what he calls ‘the difficult second album’, with a blip in creativity during the Covid pandemic: ‘If I couldn’t be arsed to bake bread, unlike everyone else who was suddenly aiming for Bake Off, how the hell was I going to bake well-rounded characters?’ But Andy Angus just wouldn’t leave him alone, so between night shifts, housework and large doses of chocolate, the next instalment formed.

He continues to work as a nurse, and currently lives in Edinburgh with his husband and one surviving 17-year-old tabby. He has successfully baked banana bread more than once after lockdown.
