M. Blake Wilson

M. Blake Wilson writes about philosophy, law, music, film, and literature. With Christopher Turner, he co-edited The Philosophy of Werner Herzog (Bloomsbury). His work has appeared in The Esoteric Theology of Philip K. Dick (Bloomsbury), Jesuits and Science Fiction, Blade Runner 2049 and Philosophy, The Man and the High Castle and Philosophy, The Philosophical Journal of Conflict and Violence, and other books and journals. He recently edited Crime, Violence, Justice: Philosophical Perspectives (Trivent, 2025). As associate professor at California State University, Stanislaus, he teaches courses in criminal procedure, constitutional law, and jurisprudence. Along with two dogs, two and three-quarter cats, and an incredible variety of wildlife, Blake and his wife Abby live in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada near Yosemite National Park.
