S. E. Ney

S. E. Ney was born in London in the 1960's and at five-years-old had two dreams in life. The first was to be a teacher. That career dominated for thirty-five years. The second was more subtle in its pressure. Whenever she had downtime, whenever she needed to get something out of her system, she wrote. She learned to type on an old 'sit up and beg' Remington (and has the scars on her fingers to prove it!), and when computers became a little more user-friendly she migrated overnight. Of course, the early stuff wasn't very good, but she read and she wrote and then read and wrote some more, and for no other reason than she couldn't help herself. Eventually the time came to quit teaching, but the siren song of the muses continued and, frankly, wouldn't shut up. She was raised in a family where a love of reading dominated, and owes her passion for SF/Fantasy to her big brother Tim. She loves nothing better than to lose herself in a story filled with incredible worlds and limitless possibilities, so she ended up writing one.

She lives in Surrey with two rats called Beyok and Zhirini.
